CALL TO ORDERMeeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Jerry Cervak

SECRETARY5-17-05  regular meeting minutes approved.                  

TREASURER’SCash on hand is $15,195.72. 
REPORTEvent Results:  Steak Fry Profits $1,082.25.  Ticket sales+ raffle sales: $994.00 + $50.00 = $1044.00.
4th of July/Concert In the Park: Profits: $1,282.97
Golf Outing: Profits: $5.00
No additional bills outstanding for the events.    
Motion to approve Treasurer’s report – Motion approved.            

OLD BUSINESSOktoberfest: Sat. Oct 1st 1-4 P.M. – Report given by Roberta Head.  Flyers are in. Please pick up
some of the Oktoberfest flyers to pass out. Advertising for this event will be in the Landmark and
Suburban Life papers.  Jerry mentioned that we have to keep one side of the street open this year for
emergency vehicles. We can not have events on both sides of the street.  The port a potty locations will
be near Riverside Plumbing and the other on Quincy. Garbage boxes will be placed throughout.                 

Trim A Tree:  Prices for this event will be same as last year. $75.00 for chamber members and
$95.00 for non-chamber members, organizations, private individuals. Trim A Tree registration forms
will be mail out by Oct 1st 2005.  The form can also be obtained by going to our chamber website at
www.riversidechamberofcommerce.com                     

NEW BUSINESSNext Chamber Meeting: Jerry stated that our next meeting will held on the 2nd floor of the Riverside
Village Hall, Tuesday October 18th at 6:00 p.m. Room 30.                      

Secretary Position for Oct/Nov/Dec 2005:  Kevin Frontone from Edward Jones volunteered to
take over this position. We all welcome Kevin.              

Open Positions for 2006 Chamber Board Members:
-         President, Secretary and Treasurer

Riverside Library “ Community Focus Group”: Wed. Oct 5th from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. The Riverside
Library needs a representative from the Chamber to participate in a “Community Focus Group”  Robert
Head volunteered to attend.  

Riverside Library: Gargoyles Exhibit: All Gargoyles are on display at the Library. The contest
results are in. and the rewards are posted on the winning gargoyles.  Please come and vote for your “
PATRON FAVORITE.  A live auction of the Gargoyles will take place at the end of October.           

Riverside Village Special Events Form:  “ Road Closure Policy” -  Eric Sundstrom stated the
Village has a new policy and form on road closures for events. This form should be sent in at least 8-9
months ahead of time.  Eric talked about the Steak Fry location for next year. Discussion took place on
switching the location to Pine Street near the water tower. Close down part of Pine street up to
Riverside Garage.  Eric will look into the cost of renting a big tent and run this idea pass Katie Rush. A
fence would have to be put up due to having alcohol. Discussion also took place on possibly changing
the name of this event.

Recognition/Presentation:   A plaque was presented by the board to “Roberta Head” for all her services to the Chamber.  Thank you Roberta Head.
