Meeting
was called to order at 6:05 p.m. by Jerry Cervak

TREASURER’S
Cash
on hand is $14,085.66. Our liquor license has been
REPORT
approved.
Motion to approve Treasurer’s report – Motion approved.
OLD BUSINESS
Steak
Fry: Eric Sundstrom stated that we usually use about 40
picnic tables
for the event. He will work with the county on the
tables. He will
contact the commissioner. Tickets for the event will
be ready in
2 days. 1st American sponsors the tickets unless
someone else
is interested in doing so. Brian Brennan stated that
the permit for
steak fry came in.
Event Banners:
Brian Brennan stated that the event banner for the
Steak Fry is
complete. There is a possibility the other banners may
be completed
for no charge.
Claukfest: Aug.
27th & 28th. Katie Rush stated that a planning
meeting will
be on 5/19. The role of the Chamber will be to watch
and see how
this event takes place.
Ockoberfest:
A mailer will be sent out the beginning of August.
Cruise Nights:
Rick stated that all 3 car shows have a sponsor.
The 1st
Cruise night is June 9th.
Riverside Public
Library: “Gargolye Event” Library sold 46
Gargolye’s.
They are ready to be picked up. If you would like to
purchase a
gargoyle they are $75.00
NEW BUSINESS
Chamber
Brochures In Train Station: It was brought to Jerry
Cervak attention
to set up a place in the train station for display
chamber brochures
and any other chamber literature. Roberta Head
stated she would
put this together.
Secretary Position
needed for Oct/Nov/Dec 2005: We need a
chamber member
to perform the secretarial duties for the Riverside
Chamber during
the months of Oct/Nov/Dec. Anyone interested
please contact:

Event Dues:
It was proposed to have each business pay for there
own event.
It was stated that the role of the Chamber should be to
run the events.
It was stated that whomever comes in with
sponsorships
that they would be responsible for early payment. It
was motioned
that “each business is responsible for their event dues
and payments.”
Motioned approved.
Special Speaker:
Transit Oriented Development Committee for
downtown Riverside:
“URS & Bauer Latoza Studio” presented an
overview of
who they are, what they do and went over a how they
plan on performing
data collecting in order to put together a
development
for downtown Riverside area. Some ideas where
presented from
the chamber on parking and circulation. It was
mentioned that
the 1st workshop is a vision meeting. Ideas are
welcome. Please
try to attend.
