CALL TO ORDERMeeting was called to order at 6:07 p.m. by Jerry Cervak

ROLL CALLSign in sheet passed around.    

SECRETARY3-15-05 regular meeting minutes approved.                  

TREASURER’SCash on hand is $14,806.37.  As of today we have a total of 45
REPORTchamber members.  Olga stated she will get a list of all the Riverside
businesses. Our list does not have all the businesses. Motion to
approve Treasurer’s report –Motion approved.

OLD BUSINESSJuly 4th Weekend Chairperson- Stephanie Boutsikakis is the
chairperson.  She will be asking for volunteers later on. Eric
Sundstrom stated that tables for this event are located at the township
hall.     

Event Banners:  Brian Brennan contacted Channel 10 about our
events. Brain is working on getting prices for our event banners. He
will discuss at our May meeting.

Claukfest: Aug. 27th & 28thThe EDC has hired a consultant
group to come in and run this event. The EDC asked the chamber if
they would be interested in helping to underwrite the cost of the
Claukfest. The fee is $7,000.00.  The EDC would put in $3,500. The
Chamber could put in the other $3,500. Event insurance would also be
taken out for this event in case of rain. The chamber and EDC would
be sponsoring this event so our name would be recognized. It was
Zotioned to submit from the chamber funds the $3,500.00 to the EDC
for this event, provided the chamber gets back the $3,500. Motion
Approved.        

NEW BUSINESSTransit Oriented Development Committee for downtown
Riverside:
(project initiation meeting) Art Canavera gave a brief
overview of the meeting.  Meeting was lead by “URS & Bauer Latoza
Studio. They will be performing the following services: collecting data
and analyzing the Riverside downtown area, market assessment, vision
workshop, preliminary concept plan, preferred concept plan, circulation
& parking plan, urban design plan, financing & implementation, final
plan document.  There will be a June 9th meeting.  Art suggested that
we should invite URS & Bauer Latoza to our May chamber meeting so
they can hear our ideas. Planning will take place all through the
summer.  Final meeting will be in Aug. The final plan will be in Sept. It
was  suggested that we send out a mailing to our businesses notifying
them to bring ideas to our May chamber meeting. Kim Gialdini will
work on mailing. It was suggested that we contact The Landmark “
Bob” to interview Art Canavera on this topic and then have them
publish it in the Landmark. Kim will contact Bob to interview Art. Olga
suggested we advertise this in the newspaper.

Riverside Public Library:  Sunday, April 24th from 2-5 p.m. the
library invites you to attend a rededication of the Library’s
cornerstone.
